Buln Buln v Hallora
Buln Buln claimed their first win of the year, easily accounting for fancied Hallora.
Losing the toss and forced to field, Buln showed the class which made them a division one side last year from the outset as Sam Reid (2-18) was typically consistent with the new ball in hand.
The Lyrebirds didn't have it all their way as Alex Henshall (37), Jacob Kleeven (21) and Lachie Pratt (21) all made decent contributions, however youngster Brock Sawyer (2-26) took key scalps up the top to halt any momentum the visitors could muster. With momentum halted, the Lyrebirds sensed their opportunity, and from 5-103 they were able to cause a late order collapse of epic proportions to thrust their way on top with the Kangas losing 5-13 to leave them wallowing at 116 all out.
Youngster Jack Logan (2-23) provided his best senior showing, outlining Buln's future, as they set about their chase - one they performed in a canter.
Andrew Burdett (36), Wilson Pollock (25) and Brock Sawyer (20) were all at their best as the chase was never in doubt. Steven Fox (2-16) did his best to stem the flow but Buln got home with seven wickets to spare and plenty of time left.
