There was to be no room for the faint hearted when two talented and physical teams in Newborough and Thorpdale clashed at "The Kennel" on Saturday.

The Blues were conscious of the opportunity they had against last year's grand finalists.
A win would give Thorpdale a two game break on Newborough, leaving the home side a mountain to climb in the months ahead.
That mountain - for the time being - can remain in the distance, after the Bulldogs proved too strong, 18.10-118 to 11.8-74.
