Neerim District Bowling Club held its Australia Day tournament on Thursday.
Carrying on the popular format from last year of two bowl triples, the day consisted of 10 games of three ends and every team playing each other.
With an odd number of teams, each had a bye at some stage which proved a welcome break.
The day was supported by clubs from Morwell, Narre Warren, Garfield and a healthy contingent from the home club.
Winners of the day were the Morwell team of Ken Turner, Peter Borradale and Jim Fallon with eight wins and a draw. The runner-up team was Peter Brooks, Tony Thornton and Mick Talbot of Neerim who were close behind with eight wins.
The club was privileged to have Cr Tricia Jones in attendance to present the perpetual trophy, individual medallions and prize money.
