Ace Classic returns to Bunyip

The Bunyip Tennis Club are set to host the second edition of their Ace Classic Tennis Tournament this weekend.
Beginning on Saturday at 9am, the three-day tournament will aim to bring high quality tennis to the community across both singles and doubles tournaments.
A full 32-player draw looms large for the singles, where players will be battling for a $2500 prize.
Leading the entrants is Australian Corey Gaal, ranked 1277 in the world and fiancé of Australian Open competitor Destanee Aiava.
Matches will be played in a full best of three sets format, with the Bunyip Tennis Club on hand to provide food and drinks to anyone stopping by.
Club coach Chris Millidonis said that having a full 32-player draw was "exceptional" for a tournament of this scale.
"The other thing is that the depth is really there. Last year we had maybe four or five really top quality players, this year we're looking at around 10 high end players," he said.
Mr Millidonis said the purpose of the tournament was to bring high level tennis to the community and give them a taste of what the sport can offer.
"That's why we're doing this really, it's for the community and we'd love to see them get behind it."
Mr Millidonis thanked the tournament's many sponsors, adding that it would not be happening without their support.
"We just want to see as many people there as possible. Australia Day weekend, if you're free and have some time, come down and see us, we'd love to see you there."
