Trafalgar is through to the midweek division one grand final after a big 39-shot semi-final win on Tuesday.
Division one: Trafalgar 16/89 defeated Traralgon RSL 0/50
Matt Schreyer (skip), Edward Kuklinsky, Heather Taylor and Mary Holdsworth won 29/23.
Matt's team had the comeback of the day. After trailing 0/14 at the fifth end, they showed their Trafalgar spirit to pull off a six-shot victory.
Adam Proctor (skip), Paul Dawson, Helen Robertson and Sue Robinson won 23/14.
Adam's rink grabbed the lead with a four on the fourth and were never headed. They won by nine shots.
Ian Miles (skip), Matt Ogilvie, Noel Rubenstein and Pat Tatterson won 37/13.
Ian's rink was on fire, allowing Traralgon RSL only five ends for the day. In the end, it was a massive 24-shot win.
Trafalgar will play the winner of today's preliminary final in the grand final at Newborough next Tuesday.
Division two: Trafalgar (2) 12/66 defeated Yinnar 4/57
A close overall win saw Trafalgar advance to today's preliminary final against Drouin at Drouin.
Peter Watson (skip), Greg Sephton, Lyn Hill and Col Carmichael won 35/6.
Peter's team were the heroes of the day. They started off with a seven and just took it from, dealing out a 29-shot thrashing to give Trafalgar the overall win and preliminary final berth. As a bonus, they took out the rink of the day prize.
Wayne Hurst (skip), David Wilson, Sean Tatterson, Joanna Reekie lost 16/19.
Wayne's team had a slow start but fought back to be 12-all on the 15th. However, they were unable to hold off a strong finishing Yinnar to go down by a narrow three shots.
Rob Matthews (skip), Darryl Horner, Rob Connell, Carol Fox lost 15/32.
Rob's team got off to a flyer and led 12/5 on the ninth. It's unsure what happened next, but either the wheels fell off Trafalgar's little red wagon or Yinnar found another couple of gears. Trafalgar was outscored by 27 shots to three, resulting in a 17-shot loss.
Trafalgar will head into today's final hoping for a win to progress to the big one against Newborough next Tuesday.
