Very warm conditions greeted bowls for round seven of Strzelecki Bowls Region weekend pennant.
Division two: Neerim District lost to Thorpdale 67/77
Travelling to Thorpdale, Neerim won one-and-a-half rinks but lost the overall contest.
The standout rink was that of Ray Throup Jim Fallon Pat Aurisch and Peter Throup who won 26/13.
Division two are placed sixth on the ladder.
Division four: Neerim District (2) lost to Longwarry (2) 74/103
The club welcomed last year's division five premiers Longwarry to Neerim South.
Three rinks were decided by three, two and one shot respectively. However, the Longwarry rink which won 34/11, set up their team victory.
Division four remain seventh on the ladder.
Division six: Neerim District (3) defeated Traralgon (6) 35/33
Travelling to Traralgon, Neerim welcomed the news that they were playing indoors.
It may have been cooler, but the rink of Linda Chapple, Tom Goodwin, Maureen Halligan and Roger Gouge were hot, setting up a team victory with a 24/10 win.
Division six are now sixth on the ladder despite forfeiting for the past two weeks. This was due to the reduced number of players available across all Neerim teams.
