Hill End and Thorpdale will be aiming to build positivity and improvement when Mid Gippsland netball begins.
Hill End, having unveiled new courts and netball pavilion last year, will field an A grade side after a year hiatus. Adding a new scoreboard in the pre-season, the club will use its facilities as a drawcard for years to come.
Thorpdale, who returned to the A grade competition last year, are focused on growth and development as they seek breakthrough wins.
Hill End
A grade coach: Shane Mynard.
Welcomed back to Hill End, Shane brings an impressive netball coaching resume from Gippsland League and VNL side Gippsland Stars.
He will coach the new A grade side as well as B grade and co-coach the under 17s.
Hill End will be greatly bolstered by Steph Paul who returns home after a stint in Gippsland League with Warragul.
Also returning for her eighth consecutive year is runner-up best and fairest winner Emilee Watson. A crucial player in wing attack, she brings exceptional leadership, skill and on-court experience.
Steph and Emilee will be amongst an A grade squad filled with old and new faces.
Thorpdale
A grade coach: Laura Whitney.
Laura said she was focused on building the club and striving for some success along the way in 2025.
"Our teams are coming together with returning players and also a bunch of new girls at the club," she said. "Trainings have been successful with good commitment from the girls."
Not having any junior teams this season, Thorpdale mostly relies on importing players as well as those returning.
Laura played for Thorpdale in all her junior years and was part of league representative sides in both junior and senior levels.
Part of the 2011 A grade premiership side, Laura had a hiatus from netball due to injuries. However, she is excited to return and step into the head coach role.
