Opportunistic car thefts

Opportunistic thieves are believed to have stolen two vehicles in the space of several hours on Friday.
Police said a black 2008 BMW X5 was stolen from a Drouin driveway in Weebar Rd at about 6.20pm.

They reported the vehicle was left unlocked with keys in the ignition.
A four wheel drive was seen pulling into the driveway before the theft.
The owner unsuccessfully chased the vehicle, which was located by police in Windsor Ave, Warragul at 7.30pm.
A man known to police was seen next to the vehicle but ran away.
Property, not belonging to the owner, was found in the BMW.
Police believe the car theft was linked to the theft of a grey Ford Territory from a driveway in Windsor Ave at 3.30pm.
It is believed the keys were left in the boot lock barrel as the owner moved items between the car and house.
The vehicle was later seen in Drouin West with one male and one female inside at 6pm.
A 24-year-old Drouin woman was arrested after the Territory was located in Margaret St, Warragul on Sunday at 10.50am.
She was interviewed and charged with theft of a motor vehicle and other offences.
The 26-year-old Drouin man seen in the vicinity of one of the vehicles is still sought by police. He also has been linked to two burglaries in Warragul at Windsor Ave and Skewes Crt in the past week.
