A number of West Gippsland medical clinics and health service providers are among the finalists for this year's Gippsland Primary Health Awards to be announced tomorrow.
The awards will celebrate outstanding achievements and innovation across Gippsland, with this year's theme, "transformation," honouring teams that have drivenimpactful change in patient care, workplace culture, and access to healthcare.
The award categories and local nominees include:
Transforming practice through multidisciplinary care - Central Clinic, Hillview Aged Care Bunyip, West Gippsland Healthcare Group, Gladstone Street Medical Clinic, Latrobe Community Health Service.
Transforming workplace culture - West Gippsland Healthcare Group, Civic Park Consulting Suites Drouin, Atticus Health Jindivick.
Transforming access to care through inclusive practice - West Gippsland HealthCare Group, Latrobe Community Health Service.
The event, hosted by Gippsland Primary Health Network (PHN) is an opportunity to celebrate and reflect on the rapid change and innovation taking place in the health care sector.
Gippsland PHN chief executive officer Amanda Proposch congratulated the nominees, thanking everyone who had entered the awards.
"The breadth, quality and strength of the nominations speaks to the incredible work happening in health care in Gippsland," Ms Proposch said.
"The nominees are driving genuine innovation and transformation in care for people in our region. I'm excited to have an opportunity where we can come together to recognise and celebrate this work," she said.
The awards nominees range from small remote clinics to some of Gippsland's largest health services.
