Dance festival returns stronger for 32nd year

The West Gippsland Dance Festival will return for its 32nd year over the September school holidays.
From Friday September 20 to Sunday September 28, dancers ranging from under six to 17 and over will grace the stage at the West Gippsland Arts Centre, showcasing their talents in ballet, jazz, tap, neo-classical, song and dance, contemporary, hip hop and more.
Following multiple years impacted by COVID-19 lockdowns, festival president Chloe Smethurst said performer numbers were back to normal.
"We think there will be around 500 dancers," Chloe said. "This is the first year that we've had to cap the number of entries, so we've sold out!"
