Gippsland Water is inviting local primary, kindergarten and early learning students to enter its National Water Week poster competition.
Students are encouraged to design, draw or paint a poster to reflect this year's theme "Water for All, Inspiring Action".
The theme acknowledges the importance of water and everyone's role in using water sustainably, now and into the future.
Categories are open for early learning, kindergarten and primary school students.
Students who enter are eligible to win a voucher from a local business. In addition, each school or centre with a student submission will be included in a random draw to win $500 for a sustainability project or STEM resources.
Local winners will automatically be entered into the state competition, with winners announced during National Water Week from October 21 to 27.
Last year, Gippsland Water received hundreds of colourful entries from local children, with two students going on to win state prizes.
Acting managing director Simon Aquilina said the annual competition delivered several benefits.
"It's a terrific opportunity for students to learn about the value of water in a fun and engaging way," Mr Aquilina said.
Entries close on Friday, September 6 at 5pm.
