Vehicles parked in residential streets continue to be the target of opportunistic thieves.
Police reported a spate of thefts in which car windows were smashed across Drouin on Saturday, June 15.
They allege a front driver-side window was smashed to gain access to a vehicle in Young St at about 4am.
The glove box was rummaged through and a purse stolen.
In a similar incident, a window was smashed and glove box rummaged through in Cook St.
Police allege the incident occurred between 12am and 8am. It appears nothing was stolen.
Over the same timeframe, a BCF $50 gift card was stolen from a vehicle in Edwards St.
It was reported the front passenger-side window was smashed to gain access.
In the fourth incident, a front driver-side window was smashed to gain access to a vehicle in Albert St.
Police said nothing was stolen despite the vehicle being rummaged through.
In an unrelated incident, daylight didn't deter a thief in Howard St, Warragul.
Three residential addresses were impacted at about 8.10am on Thursday, June 13.
A male attempted to open doors of one vehicle, stolen items from the centre console of a second unlocked vehicle and entered a garage before taking several items.
The man, captured on CCTV, was described as wearing dark clothing with a high vis tradie long-sleeve top.
In another unrelated incident, an unlocked vehicle in Cherrywood Pl, Warragul was entered.
Parked on a nature strip, the car was rummaged through on Saturday, June 15. It appears nothing was stolen.
On the same night, an open garage was entered on Princess St, Warragul at about 11.45pm.
From a vehicle, fuel and bank cards were stolen.
