Car impounded on freeway

A vehicle was impounded after a suspended driver returned a positive drug test at Darnum last week.
Police said Baw Baw Highway Patrol intercepted the vehicle on the Princes Fwy and conducted a roadside drug test.
They said the test returned a positive result for both cannabis and methylamphetamine (MDMA).
The man had his vehicle impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1291. The driver will be summonsed to attend Latrobe Valley Magistrates' Court at a later date.
