Three local schools have been awarded for their hard work and creativity in the lead up to the Warragul Show.
Ripplebrook Primary School, Grace Berglund Kindergarten and Ellinbank Primary School each received monetary awards for making scarecrows, which were created before the Warragul Show as part of the show's Scarecrow Competition and judged by Facebook followers.
The monetary prizes were provided by Ray White in Drouin, $500 for first prize, $300 for second and $200 for third.
Grace Berglund Kinder was awarded first place for its collection of colourful scarecrows.
Educational leader at Grace Berglund Pauline Whyte said the kindergarten's theme was "inclusion and community engagement" and the students aimed to reflect this in their scarecrows.
Instead of making them frightening we made them to be inviting people into our garden, she said.
Second place was awarded to Ellinbank Primary School.
Students at Ellinbank took a different approach to the competition and dressed up as scarecrows.
Ripplebrook Primary School came in third place, making multiple scarecrows, which were placed in the school's vegetable gardens. One scarecrow is doing a cartwheel and is dressed in an old school uniform.
