A Drouin man was arrested after police chased him across a Longwarry property on Wednesday afternoon.
The 28-year-old man was arrested after allegedly driving erratically across three private properties in Longwarry and threatening residents with a taser gun.
The Toyota RAV4 he was driving became bogged on one of the properties and he fled before being chased down by police who ran across paddocks after him.
Police said the incident unfolded shortly after 2pm when the white Toyota was seen driving at a high speed along a driveway into an Old Drouin Rd property.
A resident of the property was on a quad bike when the offender drove past him.
The man allegedly drove to the house where he reached a dead end in the driveway. As he attempted to turnaround, police said the vehicle collided with a shed door, causing damage to a caravan, motorbike and e-bike inside the shed.
He then allegedly reversed into a tractor before driving back out the driveway.
Police said the victim was riding the quad bike towards the vehicle and as it approached closer he jumped from the quad bike. The Toyota collided with the quad bike before crashing through fences and a farm gate and into a farm laneway about 300 metres away.
Police received a report of a vehicle swerving on the road with the boot open before driving into a second property where it collided with a lawnmower.
It is alleged the vehicle again drove through paddocks to an Edgar Rd property where the occupants heard loud revving.
The Toyota was allegedly trapped in by a large truck and after circling the house, the vehicle became bogged in mud.
Police said when the driver was confronted by the residents he allegedly threatened them while holding a taser gun.
The offender allegedly attempted to steal a Ford Ranger parked at the property but it was locked.
Police arrived and chased the man, arresting him near Koo wee rup-Longwarry Rd.
Police allege the man was carrying a backpack containing goods stolen from cars in Warragul the previous night, knives, an imitation firearm and a quantity of methamphetamine.
The man was charged with reckless conduct endangering a person, threatening to inflict serious injury and possession of a drug of dependence. He was remanded in custody.
