Two cars parked in a Drouin East driveway were broken into last week.
Police said the thefts were reported between 10pm on Monday, March 17 and 8am on Tuesday, March 18.
Whilst nothing was reported stolen from one car, a handbag and purse were reported stolen from the second car.
Police said bank cards from the purse were used four times at Woolworths in Cranbourne on Tuesday morning.
