Toilet upgrade underway
1 min read

The Warragul Palmerston Street public toilet block is in the midst of an upgrade.
The Baw Baw Shire Council announced works on the site had started late last week and said the project will address accessibility concerns and replace timber walls and existing partitions.
Works are planned to continue until July this year, and will include replacing existing wall tiles, installing new LED lights, removing existing metal doors, replacing cisterns and upgrading existing fittings, and repainting and cleaning the building's exterior.
The parent's room will be the first to receive an upgrade, followed by the accessible toilets, the female toilets, and the male toilets.
The $135,000 project is part of the Council's Toilet Refurbishment Program and overall Capital Works Program.
Baw Baw Shire Mayor Michael Leaney said the council knows how important public facilities are to the community.
"We know that this particular project has been a long time coming for many," he said.
