Civil contractors working in forestry management are uncertain about the future of their work following the State Government's announcement last month to shut down the native timber industry.
In parliament last week, Member for Eastern Victoria Melina Bath sought a guarantee that existing forest management civil contractors will not lose their existing contracts.
She said civil contractors working in forestry management were shrouded in uncertainty after the government said it would transition displaced native timber workers into the industry.
