A taxi was reported damaged whilst parked at the Warragul rank on Saturday, November 23.
Police believe three youths were responsible for the damage.
They are investigating if criminal damage to the nearby South Brew Cafe, also in Smith St, was a related incident.
It is alleged three male youths approached the taxi at about 4am and started to kick the panels.
Police were told one youth picked up a large brick and used it to hit the top and side of the vehicle.
After the driver threatened to call police, it is alleged one youth kicked the passenger side mirror, ripping it from the taxi.
Police also reported a large rock and traffic cone were thrown through a window of South Brew Cafe at about 5am.
Anyone with information which may assist police investigations is urged to contact Warragul police station on 5622 7111.
