Stop sticks lead to arrest

Police officers utilised stop sticks to halt a stolen campervan travelling along the freeway at Darnum last weekend.
The action followed the driver of the Fiat campervan allegedly evading Pakenham police in Nar Nar Goon at 1.25am on Sunday, March 30.
The vehicle was later observed travelling along the Princes Fwy at Longwarry, enabling police to successfully deploy stop sticks at Darnum.
With three of four wheels deflated, the vehicle pulled over and a 28-year-old man from Paterson Lakes was arrested.
He was charged and bailed to appear at Latrobe Valley Magistrates' Court on July 1.
