Works continue to progress at the site of Warragul's newest sporting stadium.
Baw Baw Shire Council has offered a glimpse of works currently being undertaken for the $11 million project, saying "the building is still on track for completion in mid-2024".
Eagerly awaiting the two new courts on offer at the Warragul Leisure Centre precinct, local basketball and netball players will be pleased to see the latest stadium progress.
With roofing as well as external cladding and brickwork around the stadium portion complete, installation of plaster and the ceiling is currently underway.
In addition, electrical and mechanical - air conditioning - works are underway, the kitchen is being fitted out with commercial size rangehood and wall insulation is being installed.
Work will soon begin on stadium lighting, external cladding and brickwork around the amenities portion of the building as well as installation of basketball backboards and rings.
A pedestrian path linking the existing stadium and new amenities area is yet to begin.
Car park works on the south side of the building, with entrances to Wills St and Spring St are expected at the start of 2024.
To avoid any damage, one of the final touches will be installation of the timber basketball court flooring.
