Recent flash flooding of residential properties in part of Trafalgar has shone a spotlight on a lack of coordination on drainage systems to cope with increased and more rapid stormwater in a number of Baw Baw Shire towns from major residential developments.
Residents of Trafalgar and Yarragon, especially, have been voicing their concerns for some time and questions have also been raised about the potential impact of proposed future developments on Longwarry.
Stormwater drainage and run-off from the shire's two major towns, Warragul and Drouin that continue to experience substantial residential expansion, also impact the lower lying townships.
