A formal turning of the sod ceremony was recently held at St Paul's Anglican Grammar School's Drouin campus, marking the start of the stage two development of the primary school learning centre.
The ceremony was led by the school's deputy principal Gordon Oldham with guests including Member for Eastern Victoria Harriet Shing, St Paul's board chair Darren Jennings, as well as staff and students.
The learning centre will feature six paired learning areas that open out onto a collaborative learning 'street' for shared specialist programs, integrating with the natural environment under an extended roof to incorporate outdoor play-based learning activities.
The Drouin junior school learning centre project is supported by a State Government's capital grant of $6 million through the Victorian School Building Authority's Building Fund for Non-Government Schools – Independent Schools. The grant will assist with construction of the centre.
