Member for Eastern Victoria and Cabinet minister Harriet Shing says the state budget has good news for the region.
Among the positives she highlighted was funding to enable planning for a new West Gippsland Hospital and aged care facility at Drouin East.
A series of post-budget media releases by Ms Shing were headed "Doing What Matters for West Gippsland and the Latrobe Valley", "Delivering Certainty for Timber Works" and "A Fairer State for Every Victorian".
