Police services continue during six week Drouin station closure

Police services will be maintained during a six week closure of the Drouin Police Station to allow for significant renovation works.

The renovations will ultimately deliver an expanded police service to the Drouin community with additional police resources allocated to the station.

The station closed yesterday for six weeks while the works are undertaken.

But, senior sergeant Brent Muir guaranteed police services will be maintained during the closure.

He said all phone calls to Drouin will be diverted to Warragul for police assistance.

Anyone needing documents signed can attend at Warragul Police Station or the JPs service at Warragul Library.

Sen sgt Muir said community members needing urgent police assistance should call triple zero (000).

“There will be no disruption to the police service during the closure,” he said.

Sen sgt Muir said the works were expected to be completed before Christmas and would ultimately benefit the growing Drouin community by accommodating an increased police presence in the town.
