The Gippsland branch of the Order of Australia Association will hold its lunch get-together in Warragul for the first time.
The luncheon will be held at The Black Tie on Sunday, September 22.
Guest speaker is retired teacher and church minister Jim Connelly of Warragul who will speak on "Gippsland's outstanding citizens".
Dr Connelly is an author and writer. A lot of his talk will draw on historic material from his published book relating to foremost Gippsland citizens.
Branch chairman Doug Caulfield said the branch was delighted to meet in Warragul and welcomed community guests to attend by emailing dajudy@bigpond.net.au or via the website, orderofaustraliagippsland.org
"We would be delighted to then reply with the attendance form," Mr Caulfield said.
RSVPs are required by Saturday, September 7.
