Noojee has made the finalist list for this year's Victorian Top Tourism Town Awards.
The township has made the final cut in the small town category section.
Voting by the public has opened and can be cast by visiting the Victorian Tourism Industry Council website.
There's an attractive prize - a weekend for two people staying in a "classic room" at the Sofitel Melbourne on Collins with breakfasts included - for one lucky voter.
The nomination describes Noojee, an aboriginal name meaning "place of rest", as an historic timber town on the banks of the Latrobe River within comfortable reach of Melbourne.
It is rich in heritage and natural attractions with a number of nearby towns that are also worth a visit.
