A much-loved war memorial tree sculpture at Rokeby Reserve was recently removed.
But, do not fear, the intricate wood design paying tribute to past and present servicemen and women will return in all its glory in a few weeks.
Created in 2020, Rokeby Hall Committee members have treated the tree stump multiple times for insect infestations.
However, when it turned white a few months back, committee member Jeff Mooney said they knew they had to act for long-term preservation.
