Baw Baw detectives are investigating a robbery in central Warragul on Friday morning.
It is alleged a 22-year-old man was punched and robbed whilst walking along Barkly St at about 11.20am.
The victim told police he was approached by a man and punched in the face twice, causing an injury. His satchel was stolen containing items including his wallet and earphones. A mobile phone also was thrown to the ground, causing it to break.
The offender was described as a Caucasian man in his mid 30s with short dark hair.
