A Longwarry woman was alarmed when she discovered a man in the laundry of her house during the day on Friday.
Police said it appeared the man had used bins to climb fences to access the Rufous St yard and entered the house through an unlocked back laundry door,
The woman confronted the man in her laundry at about 12.30pm.
Police said the man ran from the house. Nothing was stolen.
