Seven Warragul Scouts and two of their leaders are heading to the New Zealand jamboree in January.
Youth members, parents and committee members have been fund-raising throughout the year to meet the cost.
With Victoria this month launching a container deposit scheme and with a collection outlet now open in Warragul two of the scouts are rounding up used bottles and cans to save up some spending money for their trip.
Neve and Morgan Kost, with the help of family members and neighbours, collected 257 cans and bottles to begin their spending "bank" and with warmer summer conditions ahead will be busy collecting to add to their kitty.
