A Liberals/Nationals elected government will deliver a $1 million lifeline to Lifeline Gippsland.
A meeting with shadow mental health minister Emma Kealy in August led to the four year commitment of $250,000 a year, on top of the existing State Government funding arrangement
The announcement comes after two Latrobe Valley mental health providers were forced to close their doors in July, and Lifeline Gippsland reported a deficit after demand for support continued to outweigh state funding.
