Large crowds turn out for dawn services

Dawn services across West Gippsland continued to grow in attendances on Anzac Day, with large crowds turning out for poignant commemorations of the Gallipoli battle.
Services were held throughout the day at towns across the region, providing community members, particularly a growing number of young people, the opportunity to acknowledge the service of men and women in wars and conflicts since World War I.
As the sun rose on a perfect autumn morning in Warragul, RSL president Ben Vahland said it was 104 years since the guns fell silent to "end the war to end all wars."
