Identify trees worthy of protection

Residents have until the end of this week to identify trees in Baw Baw Shire to be included on council's significant tree register.
Council's Significant Tree Study was identified as a priority in the Council Plan and, once completed, will support changes to the Baw Baw Planning Scheme to protect significant trees and build a better understanding of environmental assets across the shire.
Nominated trees will be assessed on site by qualified independent arborists to determine their significance before being included in the register.
