Get into the festive spirit and support families in need this Friday and Saturday at Baw Baw Food Relief's Christmas food drive fun day.
As the number of people seeking emergency food relief continues to grow, Baw Baw Food Relief said the need for Christmas food donations was greater than ever.
As well as dropping donations into the purple collection bins at Coles and Woolworths in Warragul and Drouin, this year donations to BBFR's Christmas food drive can be dropped off at the special Christmas fun day event.
Held at the Palmerston Street Kiosk in Warragul on Friday and Saturday, the event will provide an opportunity to get into the Christmas spirit while helping to "feed the need" in the community.
The kiosk will be open to receive donations on Friday between 11am and 2pm.
On Saturday, the BBFR team will be joined by the Christmas Fairy, her Elf and maybe even Santa between 11am and 2pm. The Warragul Lions Club will run a sausage sizzle during the event.
The BBFR team thanked the community for supporting their work throughout the year.
"Last year, families shared touching stories of how meaningful it was for their children to shop for Christmas groceries and hand-deliver them to our centre," the team said.
"These small acts of kindness not only supported others but also brought extra joy to their own families."
Donations can also be dropped off directly to BBFR at Factory 6/11 Pearse St, Warragul between 10am and 2pm, Monday to Friday.
