Dog high jump returns

The popular dog high jump competition will return to the Warragul Show program on Friday night.
In past years, the dog high jump was a popular feature of carnival programs and show organisers decided to bring it back for this year's 140th anniversary.
Entries will be taken on the night and the competition will get underway from 6pm.
This has proven to be a great spectacle for patrons in past years, with crowds of people gathering to watch the skill and talents of dogs entered in this competition.
If you have a dog that loves to jump then organisers of this year's competition want to see you at the show on Friday night.
The dog high jump competition will be held on the track in front of the main pavilion.
Cash prizes a bags of Cobber dog food will be available for first, second and third in two sections - above 50 centimetres and below 50 centimetres.
Each dog will be allowed three attempts at each height and will be out of the competition if unsuccessful on the third attempt. Dogs can touch any part of the jump to get over and a handler can encourage the dogs through vocal or visual command but not by pushing or pulling the dog.
