Quantum Support Services has announced it has joined the MCM Group under a new collaboration model.
Quantum will continue to be Gippsland based under the new partnership and will continued to provide family violence, homelessness and family support services in the region. Local management retained and the existing board continuing as a separate entity under the MCM Group.
The MCM Group provides a diverse range of services, including family, housing, education and youth support, as well as disability and palliative care.
Quantum chief executive officer Natalie McDonald said Quantum had collaborated with MCM in the past and recognised both organisations complemented each other.
"Becoming part of the MCM group will offer possibilities of growth and expansion in Gippsland and regional Victoria. Quantum has a strong reputation for providing excellent services within Gippsland, while MCM brings experience in youth housing and education," Ms McDonald said.
"Partnerships and collaboration are not new concepts to Quantum's strategy of delivering its existing programs. We work closely with many other organisations to deliver programs to support our community's needs."
Quantum acting board chair James Lye said joining with MCM made sense.
"Our respective boards did not enter into this agreement lightly. We both have similar strategic growth goals, including increasing the impact on our communities. Each organisation has a strong sense of what a successful future could look like together," Mr Lye said.
"This collaboration strengthens Quantum's financial sustainability and provides access to greater resources, enabling us to deliver more services locally in Gippsland.
"Joining MCM Group ensures that Quantum remains embedded in our community, while leveraging MCM's expertise to expand our offerings and deliver more comprehensive support systems," he said.
MCM Group chief executive officer Vicki Sutton said with MCM and Quantum joining together, each organisation would be able to leverage its strengths to expand the support offered to clients.
"By having Quantum as part of the MCM group we can look forward to pooling our capacity, reach and shared commitment to quality services to create more pathways to possibilities for more Victorians," Ms Sutton said.
MCM board chair Jonathan Mortimer said each organisation shared similar values and aspirations, including increasing the impact for our communities.
"For both Quantum and MCM, being part of a larger group means greater opportunities to invest in service growth, innovation, and advocacy. We are excited about Quantum joining MCM Group and look forward to creating more pathways to possibilities for more Victorians," Mr Mortimer said.
