Two Warragul boys have been charged following a crime spree across Warragul, Neerim South and Traralgon on Monday, June 24.
Police reported three male teenagers attended Anytime Fitness in Queen St, Warragul at 1.55pm.
Witnesses allege they rummaged through lockers before leaving.
Police allege a key stolen from a bag at the gym was used to open a vehicle parked in Palmerston St between 5.30pm and 6pm. They believe it was not stolen due to it being a manual vehicle.
A theft was later reported at Anytime Fitness in Traralgon.
Police allege two male offenders stole keys at about 9pm.
They said the pair were confronted at a vehicle parked in Franklin St. It is alleged a further two males approached from a 2016 red Haval Jolion wagon, one with a machete, before the group stole the 2013 black Ford Falcon.
They departed in convoy.
The stolen Ford was later captured on CCTV at the IGA supermarket in Neerim South at 11.40pm.
Police allege two males approached the northern end of the supermarket, where the liquor department is located.
They said the pair kicked a roller door before they left the carpark.
It is alleged they returned shortly after, with one holding a machete and another holding a large hunting or carving knife. It is believed a third person remained inside the vehicle.
Although the roller door was knocked off its tracks, they were unable to force entry.
Police allege the vehicle turned right onto Main Neerim Rd, driving on the wrong side of the divided road, to depart Neerim South.
A 17-year-old Warragul boy was arrested on Tuesday and charged with theft of a motor vehicle and two counts of theft.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Latrobe Valley Children's Court.
A 14-year-old Warragul boy was arrested in Morwell on Friday night. He was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, theft and attempted theft. He was bailed to appear at Latrobe Valley Children's Court.
Burglaries in Trafalgar
