Residents at Abbey Gardens Aged Care recently enjoyed a garden party themed high tea and opening of a new outdoor recreation space as part of the Project Grow initiative.
An official ribbon cutting marked the opening of the freshly painted west balcony. Starting out as a neutral grey colour, the balcony was transformed into a colourful, floral mural by local artist Craig Fison and a team of Abbey Gardens residents and volunteers.
Rolled out across all Baptcare residential aged care communities, Project Grow is an initiative that encourages residents to spend time outdoors, increase their physical activity and get more active in the garden.
