Gingerbread houses for hospital

In support of the West Gippsland Hospital children's ward, Carla Watkins from Ripplebrook Gardens is hosting her annual gingerbread house decorating day for a third year.
On Sunday December 3, 62 groups will head to Ripplebrook Gardens for a day of festive gingerbread house decorating, raffles and even a visit from Santa.
"The day will kick off at 12:30 with a sausage sizzle and we'll start decorating at 1:00," Carla said. "Santa will pop in to say hello and take some photos as well."
Carla said she gingerbread house kits she purchases are from an Australian company based in New South Wales.
"The kits are vegan, gluten free and Australian made so they cater for everyone, and it's yummy gingerbread," she said.
The decorated gingerbread houses will be split into two categories, some for selling and some as prizes in the raffle.
Other prizes in the raffle include, an item from Bunnings Warehouse, passes to Gumbuya World, a voucher for a family portrait by Sue Louise Photography, a voucher to the Willow Branch and flowers from Flower Fixation.
The proceeds from all the sales, including purchases from the sausage sizzle will be donated to the West Gippsland Hospital's children's ward.
"I couldn't do it without my supporters," Carla said.
