Frustration at loss of independence

Ronald Edmundson is "extremely frustrated" after losing his independence due to COVID-related surgical delays.
Mr Edmundson, 85, took up residence at Cooinda Lodge, Warragul in December 2018 because of bilateral arthritis in his knees.
He says he was admitted to prepare and recover from scheduled knee surgery, and intended to leave the facility once recovered.
Mr Edmundson received surgery on one of his knees at Latrobe Regional Hospital in 2020, but when it came time to complete the second operation it was delayed due to the pandemic, and then delayed again for further pre-admission tests.
