Flood waters close roads

Several local roads are closed following riverine flooding around the Moe River at Darnum.
Motorists are encouraged to avoid travel in the affected area due to changing conditions.
Closed roads include: Drouin-Korumburra Rd, Main Neerim Rd and local roads like Waterloo Rd, Silbys Rd, Rhodes Rd, Little Moe River Rd, North Canal Rd, Carmodys Rd, Beilbys Rd and Armstrongs Rd.
The Princes Hwy remains open, but water is close to the edges of roads in some locations, and there may be sections of standing water.
Motorists travelling along the Princes Hwy, particularly between Yarragon and Trafalgar, are urged to use extreme caution and drive to the conditions.
At this stage, there are no impacts to V/Line services, however some local bus and school bus routes are affected.
Emergency services are currently assessing damage and may need to close roads at short notice. Detour routes may not be suitable for all vehicles and will likely add considerable time and distance to journeys.
Emergency services remind motorists to never drive, walk or ride through flood water. The water could be deeper than expected and the road surface may be damaged underneath.
