Five burglaries at vacant properties

A tap left running and paint thrown on walls and carpet have been reported at vacant properties in Warragul.
Police said five residential burglaries had been reported in the past four weeks and given most involved criminal damage, they are investigating if youth may be responsible.
Graffiti was sprayed on walls of an Albert Rd property between Friday, February 7 and Sunday, February 9.
Police are investigating if somebody may have been staying in the vacant rental property at the time.
A house under maintenance in Sutton St has been targeted twice.
Property from the house was located in an adjacent construction site on Friday, February 7. It followed a report of a smashed window, damaged walls and a damaged outside table between Friday, January 24 and Monday, January 27.
A vacant house also was found flooded after taps were left running in Margaret St.
Police believe the house was broken into sometime between Thursday, January 16 and Sunday, January 26.
It is believed a window was broken to enter a Winsor Ave property between Tuesday, January 14 and Thursday, January 23.
Police reported paint was thrown on walls, carpet and blinds.
