Farnham signs motion to expel Deeming
1 min read

Member for Narracan Wayne Farnham is one of five Liberal MPs who have signed a motion to expel MP Moira Deeming.
The motion comes after Ms Deeming took to Twitter on Saturday to deny she made threats to sue the Liberal Party.
Ms Deeming was suspended for nine months earlier this year after attending an anti-trans rally in Melbourne.
In a post to Twitter Ms Deeming wrote "I have never once considered suing the Liberal Party and reports that I have, or had planned to do so, are false."
The statement contradicted an email sent to Opposition leader John Pesutto two days earlier.
Mr Farnham said his opinion was that Ms Deeming had threatened legal action against the party leader, and in a sense the party - which was "one step to far".
The four other MPs who signed the motion to expel are Matthew Guy, Ames Newbury, Cindy McLeish, and Roma Britnell.
On Saturday, the leader of the opposition John Pesutto released a statement confirming he had received the notice of motion.
"Today I received a notice of motion from five Liberal Party MPs seeking the expulsion of Moira Deeming at a party room meeting that will be held next Friday, 12 May," he said.
