Almost 72 years after leaving their homeland the descendants of Johannes and Helena van den Beoek, a large Dutch family of 13 children, came together at the Garfield Community Centre last month for their third family reunion.
Sharing old photos, remembering family members who had died during COVID lockdowns and meeting new family members resulted in a wonderful day.
The first family reunion was at Officer and the previous one was in Garfield in 2012.
