Two people were arrested after police surrounded a Warragul house on Wednesday.
The arrest followed a car, reported as stolen during an aggravated burglary in Drouin, was located in the front yard.
Police allege the Volkswagen Polo was stolen from Harmon Drv last Tuesday at 5.30am.
They reported the house was entered via an unlocked front door. Two sets of car keys were taken from the kitchen.
Whilst the Volkswagen was stolen, a Holden Commodore SS was left due to it being blocked in by another vehicle.
After being called out to squatters at a Clifford St house on Wednesday at 5.30pm, police allege they located and confiscated many items of stolen property including sports equipment linked to a recent theft at Buln Buln Football Netball Club.
Nobody was located inside the house at the time.
Notified that people had returned to the house at 7.20pm, the stolen Volkswagen was located in the front yard.
After securing the house, police said a woman was arrested without incident. However, a man attempted to escape via a side window.
Alleged to be in possession of an edged weapon, police unsuccessfully used capsicum spray and a taser to subdue the man before he ran off.
Police caught up with him and, after allegedly refusing to show his hands, the man was tasered and arrested.
The 26-year-old Drouin man and 24-year-old Drouin woman were charged with offences including aggravated burglary, theft of a motor vehicle and theft, as well as driving offences.
They were both bailed to appear at Latrobe Valley Magistrates' Court at a later date.
