Drouin man arrested in connection to Brownlow betting investigation

A 27-year-old Drouin man was one of four people arrested today in connection to an investigation into illegal betting on the Brownlow medal.
Detectives from Sporting Integrity Intelligence Unit allege that a person with knowledge of the voting tally from matches in the 2022 AFL season distributed information to a group of people known to them.
Police are investigating how many matches may have had votes released, and exactly how much money was awarded from the bets.
