Drouin Lions - 50 years serving the community

Drouin Lions Club members recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of the club's charter on May 26, 1973.
Drouin Lions were one of 13 clubs chartered that year and the 834th club to be chartered in Australia.
The first meeting was held at Gleeson's Family Hotel at a cost of $2.
The club was fortunate in having four members transfer from Warragul for the formation. The inaugural president was Jack Cuthbertson and second vice president was Maurie Kilmartin.
