A community group is lobbying for a 24/7 police station in Drouin.
The Committee for Drouin launched an e-petition last week calling for a new station to cater for the town's rapidly growing population.
It isn't the first petition or call to arms on the issue, but the community group hope it will finally produce a positive result "to correct this glaring oversight".
Committee chairperson Jeannie Haughton said the group initiated the petition after the issue had "been brought to us" by local residents.
"It's one of those things that comes up regularly," Ms Haughton said.<
