Colin retires after five decades in business

After a career spanning almost 50 years in the local building industry, Colin Brown has retired and handed over his building design business to a new owner.
Colin Brown established the building design firm in 1975, watching it grow to provide high quality services both locally and interstate.
But with retirement beckoning for Colin and wife Robyn, the business was recently acquired by Andrew Donohue, owner of AD Building Design in Wonthaggi.
Andrew Donohue is excited to add what will be now known as AD Building Design (Warragul) to his existing business to better service the whole of Gippsland.
"Colin and Robyn have done an amazing job delivering exemplary design to clients spanning residential, commercial, industrial, health and aged care," Andrew said.
"And importantly, they have still found time to make major contributions to their community, through sporting involvements and Rotary, among many others."
Current staff have been retained and new staff will be added and with the introduction of new technologies, the firm will be better resourced than ever to service the building design needs of the region.
While understandably sad to be leaving a community and a business that have been such an integral part of their lives for so long, the Browns are looking forward to embarking on the next phase of their journey and retiring to northern New South Wales.
